RESUME
Professional
info
On the course of Civil Engineering to develop skills in design and management of construction, considering the environmental impact as well as developing a range of problem solving, interpersonal and teamwork skills across 4 years of studies.
After completing my summer placement working within a Health and Safety team and gaining experience on site, I returned to complete my final year, specifying in dynamics of structures with dissertation on Design of a Vibrating Barrier for seismic protection of an existing building.
Currently holding a position as the vice-chair in the G&S ICE Committee (Brighton &Gatwick Branch).

Level 7:
Currently level 7 of my master’s degree, with dissertation on Design of a Vibrating Barrier for seismic protection of an existing building. Other modules include: Bridge loads and analysis, Dynamics of structures with earthquake application, Geotechnical earthquake application and Random vibrations of structures.
Description of depicted modules in each year:
Level 6:
Project Planning and Analysis: Identification of a feasible plan to a complex project, working with an interdisciplinary team of students. Grade A+.
Building Information Modelling: Using BIM as a management tool in the full cycle of the production process of a building. Grade: A
Design of Structures:The integration of parallel and previously completed studies in the design of structural members by concentrating on the design of whole structures. Grade: A
Structural Analysis 3: Determination of stability conditions, forces and displacements of structures relying on advanced structural analysis techniques. Grade: A+
Level 5:
Design of reinforced concrete members: Production of safe designs for structural elements based on structural Eurocodes. Grade A+.
Concrete Technology and Design: Basic theory regarding the application of concrete as construction material. Laboratory work. Grade A.
Soil mechanics: Analytical and empirical methods of predicting soil behaviour under loading conditions. Grade A+.
Structural and stress analysis: Determination of stress and strain in solids and forces and displacements of structures. Grade A+.
Construction Methods and Technology: Planning a project through design, construction and operational stages of construction, working with an interdisciplinary team, focusing on 'constructability'. My specific role was construction of foundations for a multi-storey car park and leisure centre. Grade B.
Level 4:
CADD: Introduction to standard CADD package (AutoCAD), basic knowledge and skills for presenting drawings. Grade A-.
